CENTERING WORDS
Pastor Bob
(Psalm 133)
How good it is that sisters and brothers live together in human dignity.
As we celebrate our common humanity this day, let us lift up a humane spirituality in song and silence, in prayer and practice.

CALL TO WORSHIP (Psalm 133)
(Responsive reading) Sharon Stewart
How very good and pleasant it is when a family lives together in unity.
It is like being anointed with precious oil that flows down in abundance.
It is like the morning dew, which falls on the mountains of Zion.
For there the Lord pronounced this blessing – life forevermore.
Let us worship God together!

Call to Confession
Sharon Stewart
Let us draw near to God in a time of honest confession.

PRAYER of CONFESSION (Unison)
Gracious and merciful God, we complain that we don’t have enough, yet what you offer us is more than enough. We doubt that you will provide what we need, yet you give nourishment in abundance each day. We forget to trust you and attempt to rely on ourselves alone. Bread of Heaven, rain down, that we might be fed and forgiven. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
ASSURANCE of PARDON
Pastor Bob
God provides. No matter what we have said or thought. No matter
what we have done. God provides. Friends, believe the good news of the gospel: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven.
Thanks be to God!

INVITATION to the OFFERING
(Matthew 15) Pastor Bob
As we learn to live generously, what we take ceases to poison us and what goes out heals the world. As we learn to live generously, we restore human dignity to the center of our faith. Give as you are called and as you are able.
