Sixth  Sunday of Easter

We Gather as the Body of Christ

ANNOUNCEMENTS AND FUNNY STORY

CALL TO WORSHIP

In John 14:18, Jesus says, “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you will also live.”

As we gather together to worship, we can claim the promise of Jesus. That he has not left us orphaned, but is present to us, as our Lord and Savior. Because he lives, we also will live. Let us worship God together!

OPENING PRAYER (unison)

Gracious and loving God, we come to you this morning, in awe of this promise that you offer to us, that you will not leave us, that you are with us always. Because you live, we also have life in all abundance, in your name. Send your Holy Spirit to be with us and among us this day. Amen.

BENEDICTION

Remember that you were created to reach for God and to find God, who is already reaching for you. Allow space in your life this week, to nurture and deepen that relationship.

May the grace of Jesus, the love of God and the encouragement of the Holy Spirit be with you. Amen.
