FUNNY STORY     Pastor Bob

CENTERING WORDS

(Jeremiah 29, Luke 17)

Are you stuck in the past? Have you lost hope for the future?

Do not despair. Build houses of joy. Plant gardens of faith. Offer thanks and praise to the living God. All will be well.

CALL TO WORSHIP   (2 Timothy 2)

Sharon Stewart – Liturgist

In worship, we remember who we are and to whom we belong. In worship, we remind ourselves, as a community, of what matters the most. In worship, we present ourselves to God, just as we are, knowing that we are loved; we are forgiven; and we are accepted in the name of Jesus Christ. Friends, let us worship God together!

INVITATION TO OFFERING

Pastor Bob

One way that we show our commitment to God is through the giving of our time, our talents and through our financial support of the church. The Spirit of God works through us, speaking hope through our words. The mercy of Christ works within us, healing neighbors through our actions in Christ’s name. Give as you are called and as you are able.

BLESSING OF THE OFFERING

(Unison)    Pastor Bob

Accept these gifts, O God, our tithes, and offerings, to do your will in the world, as we await the coming of your kingdom. Amen.

BENEDICTION  (Jeremiah 29, Luke 17)

Pastor Bob

As you go forth this day, build houses of love and plant gardens of faith.

We will sow seeds of faith and hope, and bloom where we are planted.

Care for your neighbors and bear the fruit of kindness and compassion.

We will grow in the power of God’s Spirit, and bloom with the grace of Christ’s love.

Go with God. DEPART IN PEACE…Shalom
